Jennifer and her team were absolutely incredible to work with on our wedding day. Probably most importantly, they 'got us' and our guests, and captured some incredible images that we are *obsessed* with. The photography captured the feeling and presence of us and our loved ones in such an authentic and beautiful way. The 'A Girl and A Camera' team was flexible and easy to work with, seamlessly becoming part of our family and friend group, and capturing beautiful moments throughout our day... while also juggling my bouquet, our extra wedding accessories, and making sure we stayed on schedule and in-the-moment. They were solid and reliable on logistics, including prep calls, transparency into terms and payment, arriving on time, helping scope out locations for first look, delivering beautifully finished photos in the given time-window after the wedding, etc. Highly recommend working with A Girl and A Camera!
I knew Jennifer’s photos were going to be stunning long before my wedding day. I think anyone with an eye for photography can review her portfolio and immediately distinguish her exceptional talent, especially at building small narratives within her photos. Her images capture moments and feelings instead of objects and people. Jennifer has a wonderful ‘altarside manner’. I can see now that it’s really her personality and skill at posing her subjects that lends her photos that extra bit of magic. I can’t name anyone that I know in California whose wedding photos were cooler than mine. Everyone was blown away by our portfolio and I’m now seeing our guests including their photos from our wedding in their Christmas cards. Quite the compliment. We presented Jennifer with the unique challenge of posing a gay couple (us!), which obviously creates some tension with the gendered dynamic that’s present in a lot of traditional male-female wedding portraits. She seemed to have absolutely no difficulties thinking about how to play with tradition to make our photos feel like they really captured our love and its unique energy. I hope that you choose to work with Jennifer, especially if your gut says ‘wow’ after looking over her online portfolio. She’s a wedding photographer for people who already love photography and know how to spot an artist with a good eye. If you want wedding photos that are elevated and thoughtful, I wouldn’t bother looking at anyone else unless Jennifer is already booked.

She was able to capture me and my now husband in the best light possible when we were being camera shy during our engagement shoot. Being a local and a master at her craft, she was able to pinpoint amazing locations and used the weather/sun to her advantage. Needless to say, both our friends and family were SO impressed with her work that they could not wait to see how the wedding photos turn out.
Our wedding photos were no less than perfect. I had only one request - to capture the tiny moments of my friends and family having the time of their lives. Jen and her assistant did that and then some. All the details from the getting ready to the last confetti on the dance floor, I am now able to relive my wedding day over and over again feeling all the sweetness and the love captured on film.
Jen really does have the magic touch and I cannot recommend her more. My husband continuously marvel at how beautiful the pictures turned out and already thinking of different occasions to work with Jen again.

My now-husband and I felt really awkward about the idea of a photoshoot. Luckily, Jennifer was able to get us to loosen-up quickly during our engagement shoot and our photos turned out amazing!

Jennifer is such a gem to work with. We were lucky enough to book her time a few months in advance and it was the best decision ever! Both my fiance and I were camera shy and don't really know how to pose, but Jennifer made us feel super comfortable by tellling us exactly how to stand, pose, and where to put our hands etc. The photos turned out amazing, and we got them just a week after our city hall marriage, which is truly light speed (and super high quality). Jennifer was able to catch a lot of the behind-the-scenes moments, which was really precious and special to us! She arrived earlier than our planned time, was super prepared from the get-go. We even went a bit over our original time since we were waiting for some photo spots to free up from people, but Jennifer was super accomodating and was extremely patient until the very end, getting all the shots we wanted.
